Photo Love

Beautiful photos are one of the most wonderful things in the world, wouldnt you agree,
Someone who can capture the feeling of a particular moment in time,
is the lovely Kirsty Dollery from 'ruby d' her pics are AMAZING,
I just love the candid style of weddings and events, I also love a photographer who doesnt miss the small details, God is in those details you know!? The photos from http://www.rubyd.com.au/ make me smile.
That is always a good thing!!
So go on and have a peak at this talented girls website or check out her on Facebook, golly I love facebook and the way it connects people.

She has a great online portfolio, I had to share the pic of the Kombi.. because frankly my children and I have a serious obsession with one, my only diversion is that it would look that great rocking up to the private school in every morning.. call me vain.. I am really vain.. but I'd one for weekends.. a-la Jamie Oliver style...anyway I digress....

Go and check out this girls work.. you will be glad you did!

Bedroom Love

I love this room, simple not styled with in an inch of its life. just relaxing, cheery and personal.

I have to own this chair and cushion... like, yesterday!!

This is my inspiration pic for Archie's new bedroom, but he will have an Owl theme going on,
but in a subtle way, I just love the simple look of white linen, the bright fabrics on the cushions, bunting and floor, and then the art work on the walls tie everything in - so sweet.
and better still, he gives it the thumbs up.yay!

Silver and Succulent

.
Doesnt this look great, so chic but unexpected.
I think one of the greatest things about this is how cheapola it would be.
And the fact that most anyone could source the things to do this table setting, so even if not for a wedding for a dinner party, birthday, fathers day (!!) or just because.
So pretty!

52 weeks # 5?

Nap time together.

Valentines Day - Note hunt

My rock star.

Beautiful Birthday Boy

new haircut

I have been so busy slack bringing out my camera.
Will get better with this... I promised myself!
We have had Valentines Day
Oscar's 9th Birthday
New puppy
1st haircut for Archie - which was hard, I love boys with long hair, but people kept calling him a girl including Matt Nan, who is getting very old, but she thought Matt was so lucky to have 2 boys and a little girl.haha!
that was the straw that broke the camels back as far as Archie's hair style.
he was getting very ticked off about it.
and more.

waiting

sorry for the lack of posting, my boys have used the quota on our computer this month - so my computer is going soooo s l o w l y. Its painful.
I have lots of pics to put up, it was Oscar's 9th Birthday on Valentines Day, I got so spoilt :) as did he.
School life is keeping my boys busy, B is finding some struggles with his new environment even though he loves it. Archie is back to enjoying his days with me - Im trying to soak it all up before he starts Kindy in Nov. DH has been a no show so far this week, if you happen to go past the Entertainment Centre in Adelaide any time from now on, check out the 65m (yeah, HUGE!!!) LED screen, that is my husbands design and installation, he had in made in China and it arrived a fortnight ago, so he has been overseeing it going in and come to fruition, Im so happy for him.
So proud. Its pretty cool.

Will be back with my 52 week post tom.

Meanwhile - Im enjoying the best weather.. bliss!

52 weeks #4 (behind as predicted by moi)

Heres some of what we have been up to.

me back row second from right.... looking like Nana Mouskouri

Lily Allen .. as you can see.. so cute.

Chicken and chickpea bake... sooooo good, one of the boys favorites.

Jam session at brother in laws

lots of hot weather, leaves Archie and I playing with this treehouse, it is the coolest toy. ever.
I play with it by myself. often.

Ricotta and spinach canaloni..mmmmm

new child - Shelby - likes shoes already...oh dear.

I keep forgetting to take my camera, getting use to new school routines, and 3 special birthdays in 8 days has been tiring.

Big Day Out was awesome ... loved it... got a bit roasted and am now peeling... yuck!

And we finally got a new doggie, she is just divine, so sweet, a tad naughty and Im now getting up to her at night.... but she is has warmed our home up already with her waggy tail and squishy face.

Playroom Inspiration

Okay, so the playroom I need to have in our house, will double as a guest room. Sofa bed needs to be purchased. I think I want to get a white one with washable slip covers.. am I crazy??
Curtains, Im thinking of using a fabric I considered for Archie's room. But I think it will work better in the playroom......

I have these bird flash cards, that I want to use

Then I was going to make LOTS of cushions for pretty fabrics. some a bit girly.. I need a bit of that around here. And some BIG floor cushions... or maybe an ottoman. The room has robes down one side of it, great storage for all the toys. will leave those.
Then a reading corner with a book shelf and comfy chair, covered in matching fabrics..

I was also thinking of doing a string of bunting to liven it up.
And Etsy art has been purchased already.

I want it bright and cheery, eclectic and fun.

Also I have a wooden chest, so I think that can house more of the larger toys that dont fit in the robes.

And as for a TV, I will probably go ahead and put one it... truth is I have been out voted. I did tell M it didnt need to be an 85 inch one, just a small one, so hopefully he listened to that.

Will post before and after pictures once the project is finished.
So above are my inspiration pics for the room.
Its a bit mumbo jumbo in my head how this room will work, if it will work at all, its not a big room, but is has great natural light and is right in the centre of the home... where all kiddo's should be playing.

wish me luck.

Must get organised

I have to get it together.

I mean, its getting crazy. I have lists, boy do I have lists but they are really so long and uninspiring I keep forgetting to look at them.

How do you do a whole house, when decorating that is.
Do you do room by room.

I think this is what I have to do, because Im all over the shop.

Where to start though.
Bedrooms, playrooms, living rooms aggggghhhhhh!
I have so many ideas and I think its all overlapping.

I was thinking of doing a mood board for each room but who has time.

I think Im going to do a 'to do' post and go through it line by line until the house is complete.
Then no doubt my husband will want to sell it.
