I'm back ...

6 weeks to go and we move into our new home.

I am so excited. finally something to blog about.

Im going to give this bloggy a bit of a facelift in the meantime...
and here is a sneaky peak of my new garden good God, please do not let me kill it.

I hope someone is out there listen to me.. actually it doesnt really matter if they are not, I just want to use this as an online diary as we venture into the world of being farmers, we have lots of plans, Im sure the learning curve is going to be rather huge... the commuting certainly is going to be... but it feels so right.

Bedroom Love

I love this room, simple not styled with in an inch of its life. just relaxing, cheery and personal.

I have to own this chair and cushion... like, yesterday!!

This is my inspiration pic for Archie's new bedroom, but he will have an Owl theme going on,
but in a subtle way, I just love the simple look of white linen, the bright fabrics on the cushions, bunting and floor, and then the art work on the walls tie everything in - so sweet.
and better still, he gives it the thumbs up.yay!

Dinner & flowers

"The family dinner table represents the connection we have with each other. Each person sitting at the table isn't there by accident, but is a God-given gift and a specific fit for your family. If I had the opportunity to give every woman on the planet a gift, it would be a vase of flowers for the middle of their dinner tables to remind them that this is a sacred place where their families are not only fed but are nurtured and loved--where heartstrings are tied and relationships realigned..."
~Leanne Ely

I love this quote, I cements my love of being a home maker and mother, I love sitting at the table with my boys - just have to work out how to bottle the moments forever

I love the whole concept of the 'housewife' she is a kindred spirit to me

my 3 little chaps and I couldn't be happier, I look forward to each new day and feel so blessed that life has given me such sweetness.

Sure, its not rocket science, but I leave that stuff to the Rocket Scientists, and sometimes it is hard work, mentally and pyshically, but it sure warms to coils of my soul, so for now I'll bake, dust and be merry!

Still waiting for my camera, a week without it when the boys are home is so hard.
Makes me realise how much I like to capture them.
I have been taking Polaroids, but they dont really do my little men justice.

This week I started to sprout my own seeds/beans/nuts to eat with our lunches. I went and got a nifty sprouting thing and it all seems quite simple, apart from the fact they aren't sprouting, so my dream of having sprouty mung bean in my lunch salad wrap has fallen by the way side while I work out what went wrong.

We are off for a walk now, there are a few Koala's around here at the moment that are loving the fact we are taking the up some ice cream containers full of ice and water, we have been refilling 2ce a day for one poor fellow, he is big and the heat has pooped him out so badly he is in the wrong type of tree, actually he is on the ground hugging the base of the wrong type of tree, very cute.
Oscar was brilliant (I thought) in getting him a nice big juicy gum branch and shoving it in his tree, it worked so well, he was munching away at his special leaves, fussy eater those bears.

Stay cool.

collections

I like collecting, stuff. I wouldn't say Im a hoarder. I could get carried away with the diffrent collections.
I have a HUGE crystal vase collection, I collected over 120 of them for our wedding, now they are available to hire, but there's to many to have on display anywhere, so they are in plastic tubs, which is kinda sad.
The other 3 collections I have (apart from an odd sock one which is HUGE, huge I tell you!) on the go are a milk glass collection, I love this stuff, the hob knob gear is so cool. I think I must have over 50 bits of it now, ebay is my friend. Not that I buy it much anymore, no where to put it.
The next one is Eiffel Towers, dont ask why, I have no idea, I just like the look of the damn thing.
And finally the ever growing cook book collection, this combined with an unhealthy obsession of magazines.
I love love love cook books, everything from raw food books to comfort cooking and chocolate only recipe books - collections warm the soul.
what do you collect?
