Yellow Finds

Hasn't the weather been beautiful! so sunny. Makes me feel warm and think of all things yellow.
I know in my next house (yes - there will be one, Im sure) I want a yellow front door.
In my house now it would look odd. But I love them so much.

Whats not to love about yellow?

I have a friend who hates Orange, I love orange but I get its not for everyone, same with Green some people loath it, I get puzzled but people not liking a colour. I dont LOVE purple, but then I can see it used in the right way or on a pretty dress and admire how great a colour it is.
But, I have to ask  what sort of person could not love yellow, a sad person perhaps, a gloomy type, its one of those colours to me that no one could dislike.

Right Stripe

Can anything be more lovely than a stripey room, its so fresh and fun.
I have painted a striped room before,

please when you look at these rooms feel for the person that painted them, its a hard job, but the result is most definatly worth it.

Beautiful!!

Photo Love

Beautiful photos are one of the most wonderful things in the world, wouldnt you agree,
Someone who can capture the feeling of a particular moment in time,
is the lovely Kirsty Dollery from 'ruby d' her pics are AMAZING,
I just love the candid style of weddings and events, I also love a photographer who doesnt miss the small details, God is in those details you know!? The photos from http://www.rubyd.com.au/ make me smile.
That is always a good thing!!
So go on and have a peak at this talented girls website or check out her on Facebook, golly I love facebook and the way it connects people.

She has a great online portfolio, I had to share the pic of the Kombi.. because frankly my children and I have a serious obsession with one, my only diversion is that it would look that great rocking up to the private school in every morning.. call me vain.. I am really vain.. but I'd one for weekends.. a-la Jamie Oliver style...anyway I digress....

Go and check out this girls work.. you will be glad you did!

Bedroom Love

I love this room, simple not styled with in an inch of its life. just relaxing, cheery and personal.

I have to own this chair and cushion... like, yesterday!!

This is my inspiration pic for Archie's new bedroom, but he will have an Owl theme going on,
but in a subtle way, I just love the simple look of white linen, the bright fabrics on the cushions, bunting and floor, and then the art work on the walls tie everything in - so sweet.
and better still, he gives it the thumbs up.yay!

Silver and Succulent

.
Doesnt this look great, so chic but unexpected.
I think one of the greatest things about this is how cheapola it would be.
And the fact that most anyone could source the things to do this table setting, so even if not for a wedding for a dinner party, birthday, fathers day (!!) or just because.
So pretty!

Smitten with Swedish

I think why I love Swedish Style so much, is that not only does it hold a lot of white (and yeah, I have a thing for white) but a few other key factors are how much natural light they love in their interiors.. there nothing better than natural light, its just so well,  natural and light..ha!

Another thing is that I think it works so well in Australia and with our lifestyle.
its simple, elegant but relaxed.

I know a lot of interiors over the past 10 years have become very cookie cutter and I hate to say it but sterile, its just not my cup of tea, while i can appricate the look, my kids with their vegemite on toast dont match it., I really never understood the inspiration of dark wood with a random apple in the middle of a large dish on a table, I prefer flowers simple or abundant, I dont like clutter, but I like cosy, I have to live in a fresh and clean look for me this style is perfect.
Swedish style interiors are becoming more and more popular. It’s a look that combines refined style with a casual appearance that seems to have universal appeal.

I wont go on (you know I could)... here are some pictures for you your veiwing pleasure.

face it, who dosent like it when the dog matches the sofa. perfection.

Enjoy
xo

ps- my '52 weeks' post is coming tommorrow. almost a week late, gotta love my new years passion .. or not.
